NEW SOLO ACOUSTIC ALBUM!

Hello from down under in Australia. I’m writing this post to tell you about a brand new, independent project I have created in conjunction with Pledge Music.

https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/tim-easton-bristol-sessions

In order to celebrate THIRTY YEARS of playing, writing, and traveling with “Paco,” my beloved 1985 black Gibson J-45 acoustic, I went into a DIRECT TO LACQUER studio in Bristol, Virginia a few weeks back and recorded an entire album using much the same technology as The Carter Family or Jimmie Rodgers would have used 90 years ago when they made their first recordings.

TEN SONGS were recorded by Clint Holley and Dave Polster, who run THE EARNEST TUBE, and they will master them for VINYL AND CD manufacturing which you can Pledge to Preorder starting now.

These are very stripped down, performance based acoustic recordings that cannon be manipulated. I am inviting you to join me spreading the news, checking out the Preorder incentives, and get inside access on the process as you join me in this project’s release.  Finances earned from Pledgers will only go to pay for the studio time and manufacturing of merchandise and the postage to send it to you.  NO MONEY WILL BE SPENT ON MUSIC BUSINESS MARKETING OR PUBLICITY.  This is a completely independent project between me, the two engineers, my guitar, and you-the listener. A lot of bands have used this vintage technology to record a song or two. I recorded an entire LP this way, and I’m looking forward to sharing the results with you.

A very limited edition of 100 HAND PAINTED LP JACKETS will be part of the vinyl release, and THE DIGITAL RELEASE WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE THROUGH PLEDGE OR TimEaston.com.

This album will not be streamed via the traditional sources of today’s music business.  This is just for me and you. If anybody wants to hear it, they will have to come to me.

See you around the neighborhood.
